Enriching the Campus Environment

The Colgate experience is heavily influenced by the setting of the campus. Everything from the picturesque hillside campus nestled in the scenic Chenango Valley, to the bone-chilling winter days of central New York, infuse the Colgate community with an alluring sense of place that endures forever. Inspired by this setting and campus environment, projects are underway to ensure that they remain as beautiful, vibrant, and stunning for generations of students and faculty to come.

Bicentennial Landscape Project

As a tribute to the Bicentennial, and inspired by historic images of the majestic canopy that once enveloped the core of the campus, we are in the process of planting 200 trees in locations across the upper campus. Help us restore the campus's natural beauty.

Sustainability

Colgate signed the American College and University Presidents' Climate Commitment in 2009. Two years later, we pledged to achieve carbon neutrality during our Bicentennial celebration. After a decade of action, Colgate is poised to achieve this ambitious goal.
