Alumni Assembly

Alumni from all eras are invited to this gathering, taking place Saturday at 2 p.m. in Colgate Memorial Chapel, which will provide an opportunity to recognize award winners, salute the 50th class, and hear testimonials about Colgate. The assembly will include remarks by President Brian W. Casey and featured guest speakers from the Alumni Council and Reunion class years ending in 4 and 9.

Alumni Authors

Every year, alumni authors who are returning for Reunion are invited to participate in the Alumni Authors Book Signing at the Colgate Bookstore. If you are interested in participating, please fill out this form.

Family Programs

Colgate Reunion isn’t just for adults. Families are encouraged to attend. We offer a variety of family-oriented activities and child care services.

Family-Friendly Activities

Throughout the weekend, we offer events specifically aimed at families and younger guests. In previous years, events have included a scavenger hunt, family bike ride, climbing wall open hours, and more. Look for activities with the Family Fun “Raider” icon in the schedule of events.

Camp Raider Professional Childcare Services

Offered Saturday, June 1. Book by the hour from 1:00-10:00 p.m.

Advance registration required; registration opens later this spring.

Every year, we partner with KiddieCorp to offer Camp Raider to younger guests aged 6 months to 12 years. Appropriate activities are provided for each age group and include exciting themes, arts and crafts, group games, music and movement, board games, story time, dramatic play, etc.

Please note that pre-registration with KiddieCorp is required. Register early, as spaces fill up. Walk-in registration space is very limited and cannot be guaranteed.

Babysitters

A list of babysitters (rates vary) will be available at the registration desk in Donovan’s Pub, James C. Colgate Student Union. Information can be obtained after May 1 by contacting the Office of Alumni Relations at alumni@colgate.edu.

Meals

Younger guests are welcome at all meals during the weekend, with the exception of the Saturday evening formal class and affinity group dinners, which are open to guests aged 21 and over. Alternative arrangements for meals and childcare should be made for Saturday evening formal dinners.

Reunion College

Every year, dozens of alumni and campus community members offer classes for Reunion attendees. Reunion College sessions provide an opportunity for presenters to share their career experience, research, interesting hobbies, or community service in a classroom setting during Reunion.

If you are interested in presenting at this year’s Reunion, please apply here. Proposals are due by March 1, 2019. Submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis with approval status delivered no later than March 18, 2019.

Saturday Evening Formal Dinners

On Saturday evening, formal dinners will be held at locations on and around campus. Members of classes that are marking an anniversary are invited to dine with their classmates. A formal group dinner will also be held for alumni who are not on their five-year Reunion cycle. Dinner locations will be included in the highlight sheet you receive in your welcome packet.

Saturday night dinners are only open to alumni and guests who select the Full Weekend, Saturday Only, or Raider Weekend with Saturday Dinner registration options. If you plan to attend a Saturday evening formal dinner, please select one of these three options when registering.

Please note that these dinners are open to guests aged 21 and over. Alternative arrangements should be made for meals and childcare for younger guests.

Formal Dinner Attire

These dinners are dressier than other Reunion events, although apparel varies by reunion year:

  • For most Saturday evening dinners, men can choose to wear a nice shirt, jacket, or tie as they prefer. Ladies are welcome to wear skirts, dresses, or other summery dressy apparel. Please no jeans, shorts, or flip-flops.
  • For the 25th class, Saturday evening dinner is a more formal affair, with men wearing jackets and/or ties and ladies in nice comparable attire.
  • For the 50th class, cocktail hour and dinner on Friday night is formal, while dinner on Saturday night is casual.
